Cristiano Ronaldo: Man Utd handed huge boost as Real Madrid eye Neymar and Hazard | Football | Sport

The Portugal international is reportedly unhappy at Real Madrid and could move away as soon as this summer.

Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has explained how Ronaldo is having a difficult time in the Spanish capital after not being offered a new contract to match Lionel Messi’s at Barcelona.

Real are apparently keen to bring in Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar or Eden Hazard, from Chelsea, to replace the 32-year-old.

And that would open the gate for Ronaldo to rejoin Man Utd, where Jose Mourinho would welcome him with open arms.

“He has never been loved by the chairman, Florentino Perez, he’s always felt that is the case,” Balague told Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast.

“He’s always had to push Real Madrid for a new deal and he’s unhappy for different reasons.

“The tax man in Spain and even the treat of putting him in prison.

“He wants Real Madrid to pay what he owes even though Real Madrid have nothing to do with it.

“He said he was promised after the Champions League final that he would get a new deal but Real Madrid have said they are not interested in giving him a new deal.

“Real Madrid will be happy to let him go but they will need a replacement and the dream of Florentino Perez is Neymar.

“If it’s not Neymar then he wants Hazard and he also wants Courtois.”
