Players who supported rivals, including De Bruyne the Liverpool fan and Terry’s love for Man United

All the way back in 2002, De Bruyne admitted he was a Liverpool fan. The Manchester City superstar is one of the best players in the world right now, and he was showing his potential when only 11-years-old. After scoring four goals for Genk’s youth side in a cup final, De Bruyne was captured on video being interviewed. “My favourite team is Liverpool,” he revealed. “My favourite player is Michael Owen and I would like to play there.” Despite that dream, De Bruyne has never turned out for the Reds, and he currently plies his trade about 35 miles east of Anfield in Manchester.

It has been revealed Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City superstar, supported a different Premier League club when he was a child.

A video of De Bruyne as an 11-year-old has emerged where the Belgium superstar admits he wants to play for Liverpool, his favourite club, and his favourite player is Michael Owen.

De Bruyne will come up against the team he used to support this weekend, when Man City visit Anfield in the Premier League hoping to continue their undefeated domestic season.
