Manchester United news: Jose Mourinho blames poor Old Trafford form on balls boys

Jose Mourinho has blamed Manchester United’s poor form at Old Trafford on the ball boys.

According to The Sun, Mourinho believes the youngsters are not quick enough at returning the ball to the field of play.

As a result, any chances of quick-fire attacks are ruined.

The kids are picked from the Manchester United foundation in their early teens and selected from 19 local schools.

In December, Mourinho equalled a club record by going an incredible 40 games unbeaten at Old Trafford before it was unceremoniously ended by Manchester City.

However, it seems as though this is not enough to save the ball boys from his wrath.

Last season, the Portuguese considered axing the ball boys altogether and replacing them with kids from the Manchester United academy.

He wanted to bring in ball boys who understood game situations better, in a bid to help his team.
