Chelsea boss Antonio Conte denies interest in Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini

Giorgio Chiellini’s current contract at Juventus is set to expire in the summer

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed he is not interested in signing Giorgio Chiellini and expects the experienced defender to see out his career with Juventus.

With David Luiz expected to depart this month in search of regular first-team football, Conte will target defensive reinforcements as the Blues look to cement their place in the top four.

And despite links with World Cup winner and fellow countryman Chiellini, Conte has dismissed rumours the champions will make their move for the 33-year-old.

“We must be very focused on our targets,” he revealed.

“There is the club to try to do the best for the team.

“No (we are not interested). I must be honest, Giorgio is a fantastic player but he wants to finish career at Juventus.”
