Conte on transfer plans

Although he has told club chiefs what he wants to do in January.

“I am the coach and I look after the things on the pitch, if the club can help us, it would be okay, but if they can’t it will be okay as well.”

Chelsea have been linked with a host of top talent as they look to close the gap on runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Vidal to Chelsea ON?

07:35: Arturo Vidal WILL be reunited with his old Juventus boss Antonio Conte this year.

At least that’s what journalist Manuel Veth has claimed on Twitter amid speculation Chelsea want the Bayern Munich man.

“Sense has been for quite some time that Bayern had nailed down Goretzka,” he wrote yesterday.

“We will likely find out as early as tomorrow if the deal has in fact gone through.

“Goretzka to Bayern would also explain Arturo Vidal’s link to Chelsea.

“From what I understand it is likely the Chilean will be re-united with Conte next summer if/when the Goretzka deal goes through.”

Real Madrid end Hazard interest

06:45: Chelsea have reportedly been handed a major boost with Real Madrid no longer chasing star man Eden Hazard.

The Belgian winger has long been tipped to follow in David Beckham and Gareth Bale’s steps by quitting the Premier League to become a Galactico.

But Marca say Real have pulled the plug on a move for him because they want to ensure Marco Asensio gets the game time he needs to flourish.

The Spanish newspaper claim a senior board member said: “Why would we bring in the Belgian if we have Asensio?”, during a meeting.
