Juventus have stepped up their pursuit of Newcastle and Everton target Cenk Tosun with the transfer window fast approaching.
The 26-year-old is the subject of intense transfer speculation as a result of some sparkling form for Besiktas over the past 18 months.
The striker scored 20 goals in 33 league games last term and has six in 13 so far this season as well as four in five in the Champions League.
His Turkish employers insist they do not want to sell him in January but may be tempted to part with him should they receive a high enough offer in the summer.
But that has not stopped both Newcastle and Everton from circling as they bid to reinforce their frontlines when the window opens.
However, according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik, Serie A champions Juventus are also in the running and sent scouts to check in on him at the weekend.
Tosun scored his side’s opener as they beat Galatasaray 3-0 and the Juve talent spotters were suitably impressed.
What’s more, it has been reported that Juve have enquired about Tosun’s availability and are now preparing a formal bid.
Now it appears as though both Everton and Newcastle will have to move fast should they wish to scupper Juve’s interest in the forward.
